The Rosedale bushfire shot from the top of the dunes at 90 mile beach. This was the first active bushfire that I saw on my road trips in Australia. I'm roughly 50km away from the fire taking this shot and seeing the scale of it was shocking. The smoke from the fire gave an eerie orange glow to the landscape as it past in front of the sun and the huge volume of smoke was creating it's own thunderstorm above me. It felt very apocalyptic. I have a lot of admiration for the firefighters who see sights like this and head towards them every day during the summer months in Australia, risking their lives to help save the lives and homes of their communities.
