I recently headed out for a hike up Aran Fawddwy, one of my favourite mountain hikes. I've been there quite a few times but have never taken my camera along with me before, mainly because it's hard enough work getting up there on it's own let alone with a heavy bag of camera equipment!
Aran Fawddwy is actually the highest British mountain south of Snowdon at 900 meters elevation, but it's one of the quietest mountain walks you'll come across. Everyone exploring this area seems to head over to Cadair Idris. I didn't meet a single other person on the mountain and to be honest I'm not sure I ever have on any the times I have been up there.
I only ended up taking a few photos during the day because it was hard work getting to the summit and that was my main goal for the day. I mainly used 'taking photographs' as an excuse to myself to have a break from the long uphill slog!
Anyway, I have added the few I took on the day to the 'Latest' and 'Gwynedd' galleries for you to have a look at. The one above is my favourite, what an amazing valley!
